YOU SHOULD KNOW…Hornsby & Halo co-creator and artist Peter Snejbjerg

Best known for Mike Mignola’s B.P.R.D. and DC’s Starman, the Danish artist and writer Peter J. Tomasi spins a new teenage take on heaven and hell in HORNSBY & HALO, launching November 27, 2024!

  • NAME: Peter Snejbjerg
  • BASE OF OPERATION: Copenhagen, Denmark
  • FIRST PUBLISHED COMIC BOOK WORK: “Probably some fanzine thing. The first real comic, published by a professional publisher, was a Danish sci fi story that grew out of an art school project. The most remarkable thing about it, I guess, was that it was about 200 pages long and created over a several years, and you can see how I go from being an art school amateur to, well, an almost passable comic book artist.”
  • FIRST U.S. COMIC BOOK WORK: “The first published book was The Children’s Crusade from Vertigo, written by Neil Gaiman. Talk about a flying start!”
  • HORNSBY & HALO DEVELOPMET: “It’s been a blast, no other word for it. The characters were pretty much there from the beginning, I guess, but the details of the world around them has changed a bit as we got into it. The art …I just try to do my best.”
  • DESIGNING ZACH AND ROSE FROM HORNSBY & HALO: “I love doing stuff centered around kids. They have all that bouncy energy. And their world can get pretty dark, too. The hardest thing was actually the kid versions, not the angel/demon aspects. Coming up with the way they dress, making them look natural.”
  • HOW TO PRONOUNCE HIS LAST NAME: “Try ‘sniper’ with a ‘b’ and you are pretty close.”
