A Town Ruined by Plague!

Iris and Victor find each other at a moment when they needed companionship most. Their parents have died, leaving them behind to a town full of ghosts from the past. There is nothing left but their newly forged friendship.

They leave for the city of West Arcanshire, but find trouble quickly when Victor leaves the path in search of food. He finds a farmhouse hidden deep in the woods which belongs to decrepit The Old Crone and her hulking son The Butcher.

The children learn that what cooks in the kitchen is not meant for them, rather they are meant for it.

The land has gone sour with death as plague has infested town after town. The elites who head West Arcanshire will do anything for their own survival, no matter how heinous the crime.

As the corruption of the adult world comes to a reckoning, the hopeful spirit of children will quickly turn to revenge.

A new series of horror graphic novels to keep you awake at night!

The Long Death is the 1st Kickstarter release in the Forgotten Folklore series of horror comics, only preceded by The Goblet at the Black Oak, which was originally released as a webcomic on the website Ham-Fisted Tales. These unconnected, short graphic novels embrace a classic form of storytelling where characters are tested on their morals, and pay for the consequences of their actions. These tales will be told through a visual landscape inspired by the Universal horror of the 30’s, as well as Hammer Films, and the Roger Corman production of Edgar Allen Poe films of the 60’s.

Though largely graphic novels of less than 100 pages, the biggest inspiration of Forgotten Folklore is from the parable-style storytelling of vintage horror comics, best captured by EC Comics.  They embrace Grand Guignol, they live in a Gothic Horror setting, and unspool with Folk Horror tendencies.

Welcome to the world of Forgotten Folklore, which comes out of a lifetime love of the Horror genre, creatures, moody atmosphere, and rotten people getting their comeuppance. Come for the meal. Stay for the just desserts.
