Black Salt- The Last Heroes Left is a six-issue comic book series and Ratti Entertainment has completed the first four issues. Black Salt is an epic thriller merging the world of modern-day espionage and political intrigue with the ancient world of martial arts. Samuel Tharpe is a counter-terrorism agent for Interpol. For years, he has hunted down and foiled the twisted plans of the world’s most dangerous criminal organizations, crime lords, warmongers, and anarchists. But Sam is no ordinary agent. As an orphaned child he was raised and trained secretly outside the temple walls, one of the lost arts of Shaolin by the legendary Master Yu Bai Shek. Sam is a master of many weapons and can do incredible athletic feats that border on superhuman. He is even able to generate extremely high levels of chi energy that he uses in offensive attacks. The storyline- an Interpol agent races to stop a renegade Shaolin Master armed with the deadliest biological weapon ever manufactured.
The Black Salt comic book series was turned into an award-winning 30-minute proof of concept film through a successful crowdfunding campaign. The film won the Cinemax Urban Action Showcaseand received a licensing deal with HBO for 26 months. The video game demo won several accolades including the Spotlight Award at GDC and DreamHack Dallas Best Action-INDIE PLAYGROUND Award. The company is now in pre-production for the Black Salt feature film. Ratti Entertainment has partnered with Wise Acre Comics to finish the six-issue series, then turn it into a graphic novel.
