What Is Tokyo Blade Detectives?
If you’re new to Tokyo Blade Detectives, I’ll happily give you a quick recap of things!
The story is set 200 years into the future, where Japan has been rebuilt through incredible technology and several new laws. But the one that no one can break is “No Guns Allowed.”
While noble, it creates a power vacuum that is filled with groups using “laser swords.” Now, the capital of Tokyo is constantly under siege. Five factions have risen up to take everything for themselves, and our main character, Miko, a 16-year-old detective, is just trying to live in it all.
Each arc/volume is four issues long, with each story directly tying into the next one in big and small ways. Everything is connected here, and that means the payoffs are more fun as a result.
