THE GRID WARS: CHAPTER ONE is the first in hopefully an 8-part series of graphic novels that explores life in the year 2062 when half the United States’ population is now in prison, locked up behind 22 million miles of an impenetrable Wall.
To pay for this mass incarceration, the National Penitentiary League (also known as the NPL) has launched the country’s newest, hottest bloodsport: THE GRID WARS.
Half of the prisoners who are sent to play will die in this game of near operatic brutality. But the prize for the winners is the one thing the unfortunate ones living behind the Wall all want: liberty.
