Like storm clouds gathering over the historic city of Venice, a series of magical intrigues grows inside the society and wraps itself around the lives of famous Venetians in five different epochs of the republic’s history. Individuals can be found in every one of these epochs, who oppose the dark forces of this unknown magic – a Dominican inquisitor in the time of Marco Polo, a business agent battling magic in the time of the Great Plague, even a Renaissance art critic fighting an unknown mystery behind certain enigmatic paintings. But can their combined forces stand against the threat that spreads across centuries and seems to stand out of our very time?
The creative team behind this comic is made of exclusively Czech authors, most of which have published many comic works before in the Czech language. For all of them, this was their first book to be published in English worldwide.
