Following this tradition of creative freedom and ingenuity, 1First Comics is proud to announce Love Town: The Long Take, a first for the comic industry! Twenty-seven full-page splash pages line up to form one continuous image, the first cinematic tracking shot in comic book form!
Better yet, as Love Town: The Long Take is printed in a unique, accordion-style layout, the book can either be read traditionally or it can be unfolded to reveal what is the longest interior splash page in comic book history! Twenty-seven interior pages unfurl to form a continuous image close to fifteen feet long!
A supernatural noir story set in the fictitious city of yesteryear, Los Amores is a city of bright lights and dark shadows, where magic, money, power, and crime meet to test everyone’s strength of character, sometimes with lethal results. If the glitz and glamor doesn’t corrupt you, the magic will.
Love Town: The Long Take follows Los Amores’ only African-American police captain, Capt. Hiram “Subs” Moore of the Downtown Precinct’s Vice/Organized Crime Unit. Investigating a murder with no victim against a suspect who has committed no crime, Captain Moore is convinced he has the right man in his sights and will go to any lengths to see justice done.
