Pullbox Indie Publisher Spotlight, featuring Cosmic Lion Productions… stalking the Alley at SDCC 2024

COSMIC LION POUNCES ON SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON WITH PRE-RELEASE BOOKS, ORIGINAL ART AND MORE!

After making waves with a run of successful Kickstarter campaigns and their debut in the Diamond PREVIEWS catalogue last month, indie darlings Cosmic Lion Productions (CLP) have set their sights on San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) with a prominent corner-booth presence.

Teaming up with fan-favorite exhibitor, Greg Horn Art, attendees can find publisher Eli Schwab and a cavalcade of Cosmic Lion creative talent at Booth #4613 throughout the five-day show.

“I’ve been working with Greg for a long time, so when he offered us the chance to join his awesome set-up at San Diego, I couldn’t say no,” says Schwab excitedly. “We’ll be there all weekend long – slinging classic indie comics, interspersed with some of our latest releases – as well as guest appearances from some of Cosmic Lion’s coolest creators. On top of all that, I’ve started working as an art rep for some of our talent, so you can expect to find a few of their originals in the mix as well.”

Aside from a generous selection of titles from their back catalogue, Cosmic Lion will be offering some exciting new and pre-releases, including Shaun Riaz’s latest title, RED, which is an exclusive early drop for SDCC. Joining RED will be Raymar Brunson’s Ghost Man, which is 44 pages of supernatural vengeance on classic newsprint. Is he alive or dead? Hero or demon? With the ability to walk through walls and conjure weapons at will, Ghost Man makes vengeance scary.

In addition to meeting the Cosmic Lion himself, attendees will be able to get up close and personal with cartoonist Rick Lopez (The Power, Cosmicat, Next Panel Press), Fourth Dimensional creator Seraji, and comics expert and rapper Manus Dunbar – along with special guest Chris Anderson (Heavy Metal, Spectral, Creepshow) on Saturday, and some other very special unannounced guests across the weekend. At the same time all of this is happening, Cosmic Lion’s second batch of solicitations from the Diamond PREVIEWS catalogue for August will be dropping – including Morgan B. Herron’s Frankie Boy Monster, Matt Howarth’s The Termite Mound, and Bob Fingerman’s latest magnum opus, Printopia, which features pull quotes from Matt Groening, Weird Al Yankovic, and Amy Mann. Expect more news on these, and other upcoming titles, to follow.
