Jami Taylor is a young teen starting her first year in college when an act of destiny grants her superhuman powers. Discovering she is part of a legacy of protectors in a world of high-tech gadgetry and supernatural mythology, Jami starts a hero’s quest to save everyone as Stealth Hammer.
This first issue tells the origin of Jami gaining her powers and her first battle. As future issues are created, we’ll reveal her lineage and more of the world she is entering. I refer to the story as being very Claremontian (after Chris Claremont of course) in that virtually everything you see in the backgrounds and every line of dialogue has a reason for being there and eventually has a story to tell. So look closely at the images and what might be simple lines of dialogue. They are all hints to things to come in the future.
This is an all-ages comic that should hopefully appeal to anyone that is a fan of superheroes, science-fiction, and/or fantasy/mythology. I relate it to a female Iron Fist in the world of Mega Man meets Jim Henson’s Labyrinth.
