I met Mike Mahle at Wizard World Chicago last August, and dropped a pretty good chunk of my budget at his table. His retro highly graphic style pulls people in from geeks to trained artists. One high end graphic designer even mentioned how his use of typography adds so much to his overall style.
Mike’s is crowdfunding his first book of collected works, Prime. Here is what Mike has to say about it”
“Prime is my very first collection of art and design. Full of bright, beautiful, and stylistic pin-up art, classic book covers, and a few surprises. The book is a 8.5″x11″, 86 page hard cover collection filled with full page images of my own posters, logos, and other oddities.
The collection also includes all 24 book covers created for Rock Paper Books classics collection, which was it’s own successful Kickstarter back in May of this year.
Along with the book I’ve put together a selection, of what I hope, are some cool and enticing rewards in return for your support“
Go and check out Mike’s work and I think you’ll see this is one Kickstarter any fan of retro art would want to be part of.
