Nothing starts a story off better than your main character waking up to realize he’s been killed. Huh? Yep, our hero, Detective Coogan, wakes up in big red messes that are his entrails spilling out and goes on the case to find who killed him. This book has just what I’ve been hankering for lately, a good hard boiled detective story with some weird crap to go along with it. This is old school pulp at its best!
