Day one of the Motorcity Comic Con has come to an end and we’ve come away with some pretty sweet news to share. This is the third time I’ve had the pleasure of meeting with Mouse Guard master, David Peterson, and our conversation turned to the fact that many comic creators are writing comics and printing small press books simply to get noticed by Hollywood. Given how Hollywood loves comic based movies right now, I can see why that’s a good idea. Well, it turns out the at the producer of Curious George, the American Tail films, and oddly enough the Child’s Play/Chucky films, David Kirshner has optioned Mouse Guard in the hopes of making an animated film. This comes straight from David Peterson himself. I personally can’t wait, I think a Mouse Guard filim would rock hard.
