Wolverine & The X-Men #2 (Marvel – Aaron / Bachalo)

X-MEN REGENSIS Wolverine and his X-Men have very little chance of surviving the new Hellfire Club. And that’s without another classic villain returning!

Poor Logan Schools barely open a day and it’s already under attack. The new Hellfire club puts the team through the paces with flamethrower wielding Frankenstein monsters, a Sauron, a weindigo and of course as advertised a pissed off Kraoka! The story as always is solid. It starts as a low rumble and builds to a roar. Wolverine takes more of a backseat in this chapter as we see bobby step up to the plate. The new power he demonstrates would have been a tad more impressive if we hadn’t already seen his AoA counterpart pull it off in a more spectacular fashion in the pages of Uncanny X-Force. Still kudos are in order for making a pass at Kitty Pride. I can’t wait to see how this will develop later on.

I think the one thing that holds this title back is the untidy art of Chris Bachalo. It really didn’t fit too well with the over all flow of the book. But that’s just nit picking.

Honestly if your looking to jump back into X-men this is your book. Copies of issue one are most likely still hanging out at your local comic book store so give this one a shot.
