Five Senses (Viper Comics – Black / Wayne / Sal Nieto)
Chad Bowman was on the verge of having it all. But when he fails to come forward as a witness to a brutal murder, his life changes overnight. Soon, Chad discovers someone or something is after him. Now, Chad must stay alive long enough to prove he isn’t the real killer and stop the mysterious entity from stripping him of his FIVE SENSES.
This extremely original supernatural crime story sells itself beautifully. The writing rocks! – the pace and the enigma-like plot devices hooks the reader and just won’t let go. The main character Chad has some bad voodoo put on him when he fails to do the right thing and come forward as a murder witness. That’s what makes this book so creative and interesting, this is a story about revenge not for the crime itself, but on being selfish and the lack of caring about the crime. The writing is very solid and the art supports the atmosphere of possible delusion and paranoia that is growing within the main character. Very, very Cape Fear!
