It’s a zombie plague as the ghoulish creatures take over Wizard World Chicago Comic Con, with everything from face painting to costume contests to THE EVIL DEAD reunion to appearances by the child stars of “The Walking Dead” and the incomparable Arthur Suydam, the “Marvel Zombie King,” all set for August 11-14 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, Ill.

In addition, recently voted “Best New Play” in the Chicago Reader, “Musical of the Living Dead” members will sing a few songs as teasers to the show’s opening in October.

The five lead characters in the 1981 cult classic THE EVIL DEAD will reunite at Chicago Comic Con, with Bruce Campbell (“Ash”), Ellen Sandweiss (“Cheryl”), Richard DeManincor (“Hal Delrich”), Betsy Baker (“Linda”) and Theresa Tilly (“Sarah York”) all appearing. There will be a special screening of the film on Saturday, Aug. 13, at 10 p.m., and the five will conduct a panel on Sunday at noon.

Several notables from Robert Kirkman’s hit series “The Walking Dead,” including child stars Chandler Riggs, Addy Miller and Adrian Kali Turner, will be in attendance all weekend. On Sunday at 3 p.m., many of them will participate in a Q&A and preview of the upcoming season.

Suydam, whose stirring portrayals of zombies always draw huge crowds at Wizard World events, will have a wide array of prints available at his table, where he will also conduct unique zombie face painting

Some other zombie-themed activities on Saturday at Chicago Comic Con include zombie artwork giveaways, a special category at the popular Costume Contest, a Masquerade ball and a zombie parade where fans can show off their zombie costumes, all are welcome!Join tens of thousands of fans as they converge at the Donald E.
