Over-The-Top Action! Beautiful Heroes and Villains! Non-Stop Adrenaline! Saving the World! What else could a pulp fan ask for?
This is a great stand alone issue for long time fans of Captain Action or for someone new to the Action Family. Chase scenes! Martial art butt-whippin’! hot femme fatales! Monsters! There really is nothing here not to like. The look of the issue made me very nostalgic, it brought me back to my childhood reading the realistic Gold Key “action books” – the art is very well done for a pulp book. This ish is a great deal for the price tag – there are three graphic stories here and one text tale.
The Bottom Line: Tongue-in-cheek drama-action-fun worthy of Sean Connery’s James Bond or Adam West!
Issue Grade: A
