Ultimate Thor #4 (Marvel – Hickman / Pacheco)

This is one of the better “origin” stories that I have read in years.  Granted, now that the final issue is out – it certainly reads better as a solid piece, rather than four separate issues.  Pacheco’s art is continuously solid.  Hickman finished the series on a high note and does a really great job of setting up and explaining Ultimate Thor.  Someone who has never read an Ultimate book ever could come in and be excited about the Ultimate U.  Won’t they be disappointed.

Too bad the majority of rest of the Ultimate books don’t have this much forethought!
