Non-comic geeks won’t get this – but this is a really big deal!

Starting this week, Diamond will start shipping comic on Tuesday instead of Wednesday.  Now, geeks of all ages, don’t get excited – new comic day will be on Wednesday.  That is a tradition that could not change.  But, now with this new found trust in the retailers from Diamond – hopefully the comic shipping boxes won’t be getting opened at noon on Wednesday and earlier riser types will be able to get their pulled comics as soon as your local store opens!

As a side note, please don’t think you will be able to sweet-heart and bribe your way with your local owner and get your comics early.  Diamond will supposedly have a “retailer-paid-for mystery shopper operation” that will check for this and there will be consequences for retailers who give out comics before Wednesday.
