Grimm Fairy Tales: Holiday Edition 2010 (Zenescope – Brusha / Tedesco / Gregory / various)

It’s the season to be jolly…the season to give and receive gifts. But not everyone is here to spread holiday cheer and not all the gifts received have been asked for. Beware of the gifts from Krampus which come with a price! This special issue features four all new short stories and introduces a brand new character to the Grimm Universe. Don’t miss out on all the holiday fun!

If there is one company out there that can put some kooky scary fun into Christmas, it’s Zenescope!  This collection of shorts reveals a new character to the Zeneverse – the Krampus!  The Krampus is a monstrous creature creature who helps / accompanies / counters St. Nick and he deals with all the naughty boys and girls – and in the Zenescope books bad kids don’t just get coal!

This is another example of the wide array of talent that is living over at Zenescope Publishing.  This collects four intertwining stories revolving around good selfless decision and and greed.  And this issue keeps all the action in the middle of the ever-expanding world of Grimm Fairy Tales.  I do hope we get to see the Krampus again!

Bottom Line: Zenescope provides some of the best books in the market today, so their one-shots are well-worth reading (*ahem* Marvel and DC), just wish they weren’t so pricey – $5.99.

Issue Grade: A- (lowered grade simply on cover price)
