While Boom! Studios has their share of talent and great books, they haven’t necessarily reaped their fair share of the market in the past year. Boom recently has made some connections that should concrete them in the public eye as an indy studio to watch.

Boom announced a deal with Disney that will give them the rights to publish books based on characters from Toy Story, Finding Nemo, Cars, Monsters Inc. Wall*E, and The Incredibles. The Incredibles will be written by the main man himself Mark Waid *drool, drool*. The complete Press release follows this article.

Boom will not only be chasing younger audiences with it’s new licensing. They will be publishing a Farscape book, picking up right after The Peacekeeper Wars, written by Rockne O’ Bannon, Farscape creator. Andrew Cosby, Eureka creator and Boom co-founder, will be scripting a Eureka book, based on his sci-fi hit series. Other new Boom titles include The Remnant (Supernatural thriller), Galveston (action historical fiction) and Last Reign: War of the Kings (techno-knight / dark future). It looks like Boom! is ready to leave it’s mark.
